OUR BOSS

The Spirit of Aniki

THE GHOST is led by Takatoshi Maruo — known across Japan as "Aniki of Bali". Born in Osaka, he arrived in Bali with nothing and built his success as an entrepreneur. His life inspired books and a feature film.

What Aniki values above money or fame is ninjo — human warmth. When a friend is in trouble, he shows up. When a friend succeeds, he laughs with them. That way of living keeps drawing people to Bali.

THE GHOST is the Harley team Aniki founded with his friends. Together with the rumble of the engines, that spirit rides across Bali.

✈️ Did you know there's a “miracle card” that works in Bali — and beyond? →

RIDER'S PERK — the card insiders know

The “miracle card” 99.9% of Japanese don't know — good in Bali and far beyond.

Aniki carries one too: the APEC Business Travel Card. Issued by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs — applied for and received in Japan — yet almost no Japanese know it exists. Worth having even for one Bali trip a year.

Valid in 19 economies: Japan, Australia, Brunei, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam (US & Canada: fast-track lanes only)

Valid 5 years for about JPY 13,000. Visa savings alone repay it in 2–3 trips.

Nearly every Japanese adult qualifies. Full application support available — THE GHOST members get 30% off.

“Just holding it works like a short-term visa, and it's insurance that lets you stay abroad mid-term if anything ever happens. I want every Japanese person — not just Bali regulars — to carry one and live with peace of mind. I'll gladly help you get it.” — Soichi Onizuka
